In-Flight Entertainment

Wed Feb 25, 2004 11:41 am

I have a couple of questions about the IFE on some planes.

American MD-80s-What do they have in the way of IFE?

American 757s-What do they have in the way of IFE?

Continental 737NGs-What sort of IFE do they have?

Continental 757s-And them?

Thank you,

Ozzie

P.S. On a BOS-LHR flight leaving BOS at 7:10 p.m. and arriving at 7:00 a.m. at LHR, will I get breakfast and dinner in business?

American 757's that I have been on, ex MIA to SJU.... Relatively small CRT's installed every couple rows in the aisle....

Feature movies, "CBS eye on America" etc.. varying programming depending on the lenght of the flight. They also offer a selection of audio entertainment.
There is something special about planes....

AA MD-80's don't have any IFE to speak of, their 757's have 15-20'' CRT's installed every few rows, along with radio stations as well. I can't help you with the Continental!

I reccomend that you check http://www.seatguru.com for detail about the IFE. I have no idea about the meals, though

Most of CO's fleet has some form of IFE.

Modern drop-down screens that fold up into the ceiling above each side of the aisle (unlike AA's permanent aisle screens): 73G, 738, 739, 752, 753.

Aisle monitors: some 733's

PTV's (all classes): 762, 764, 777

None: some 733's, 735, MD-80 (although these are being retired rapidly)
