I don't know much about cleaning of the aircraft...other than when we had mainline aircraft in TUS
, our ramp agents cleaned the plane (and did very well I might add!) We are all express now and Mesa does contract out the cleaning....some days it's good, other days they leave bags of trash laying around and we end up having to pick it up.
Express is doing much better now with operations. They are now comparing our operation with Mesa's on a weekly basis and most of the time they are very simliar. Used to be Mesa's ontime was in the hight 60's to 70's %....pretty miserable.
I don't know much news, nothing exciting anyhow. I have to agree with AS739X on the transcon SFO
routings. They have been very light. The LAX
ones have been much heavier, especially to JFK
. I wouldn't be suprised if they pulled it or at least cut it to one flight daily. They could certainly use the aircraft elsewhere.
