Allegiant New City - Bismarck (BIS)

Thu Feb 26, 2004 3:10 am

Interesting I would never have guessed this one. I've been tracking events at other potential G4 cities but missed this as a possibility.

According to BIS area media, an agreement has been approved for Allegiant to start service in a few months.

It appears Allegiant plans to start BIS-LAS service with a different service pattern also. According to the Bismarck paper the flights will operate on Mon, Wed, and Fri. Normally Allegiant starts a city with 4 day a week service.

No official announcement from the airline yet. I also expect to see another city reach agreement with G4 in the next few weeks.

Well, BIS is a surprise to me. But, I guess if they want them there, Allegiant should at least make an attempt. But I'll bet there are many folks in North Dakota that want lower fare service to a hot spot.
I wonder how many pax from MOT, FAR, JMS,etc will drive to BIS and go on G4 as opposed to NW thru MSP?
Maybe another city will be TuThSaSu,to use same plane other days.
