Best Ways To Board An Easyjet Aircraft

Sun Feb 29, 2004 5:38 am

I am flying on easyjet soon and want to bag myself a window seat near the back is this is always where I like to sit. Any tips on how to get on board early, when to check-in etc as I've heard that boarding can sometimes turn into a scrum and I don't want to have to fight for a window!

Get to the airport very early so that you are first in the queue when check-in opens, then stand very near the departure gate so you're right at the front for boarding. Alternatively, put a few coins in your shoe (creating a limp), take a walking stick with you and claim you need to pre-board!

As Trident2e said, get there nice and early, but make sure they stamp your ticket with 'Priority'. I do it whenever I fly with Ryanair.

Oh yea, and if they put two stairs up (one at the front and one at the back) then go for the back stairs, the front stairs are the busiest. And if there's someone standing the way, pretend your blind and push them out the way. Big grin

Hopes this helps

Its EDI-LGW route, hope its not too busy. I know about their numbered boarding card system but I'm guessing that if its quite a quick turnaround then they might just make it a free for all!

Thought of another.

If you have kids, they will board the kids (and parents) first. Big grin

I flew EDI-STN-EDI earlier this month and it should be no problem from EDI as long as you get there at least 1.5 hrs before and board through the back stairs you will be almost guaranteed a window seat at he rear. If you are flying the return(??) there may be connecting passengers (as I found out on my return!) so best get there even earlier!
