Airline Or Airport Objects In Your House

Mon Mar 01, 2004 12:45 pm

What kinds of airline or airport items do you have in your house ?.. Could it possible be a set of the triangular clusters of 6 seats found at the gate ? a full kitchen of retired airline china ?... a beverage cart or meal cart to store your aviation related things in ? or indeed cans of pop ? airport signage ? A full automated remote control beverage cart (now that I have your attention) If it belongs in the airport or on a plane, and its now in your house/yard, TELL US !!!!! This will certainly be interesting !
Go yakkin !!!!!!

I have a Avianca 747 handbag. Try to get your paws on that!

One of my friends "borrowed" from IAD Star Alliance some signed at IAD. They now decorate his dorm.

ANYTHING UAL.

I'm at the point where when people from A.net Emil me I'm just sending out all the media kits I get from my dad. Every A/c model in UA's fleet in the house colors (737-3/5,744,757,767-2/3,772,A319,A320) and lots of us posters and lots of Boeing goodies.
Contact me if anyone out there wants some. I have about 14 kits that have; some a/c desktop snapfit model, ua towel, booklet about ua, and a shaving kit, and some have a deck of cards.

I'm a coffee drinking and what I really want is the first class airline mugs...

I flew NW first class earlier this year and very much enjoyed the mug. I hit myself on the head for not asking the FA for it. Oh well, I'll be on Continental FC on Wed and heard that they have coffee mugs also so I will ask for one of them...

I just love being able to drink coffee out of an honest to god mug. it makes it so much more pleasant an experience for me. I would rather that they do away with any type of service in the AM as long as I had a good mug of coffee.

as for paraphernalia... nothing really... I just want mugs!  Big grin

My neighbour has a 3-seater airline seat from MH. Not sure how exactly he got it, but he works with the airline. It has been apart of their living room furniture for more than 10 years now.

My house is a veritable airline museum. My old Ford has seatbelts from an AVianca 727.

I cannot look to any part of my domicile without seeing something related to an airline.

And, it's all wasted as it means nothing in reality. Get old and you'll understand. But I'd still do it again.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I have a set of seats from an old Us Airways Shuttle 727. Nice blue leather. The best part is, I got to go up to victorville and take them out of the plane myself!! My set is complete with life vests, safety cards, pillows and blankets. They're great when youve had a few too many...you just sit down and buckle yourself in!

I have coffee mugs from both Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines and several "Fly TWA Jets" travel posters which I've had wet-mounted. All were purchased from company stores.

I also have a miniature Delft blue house which actually holds an ounce of Bols Dutch gin. But it was a gift from KLM for flying their business class.  Smile
