My general experience with inflight meals are really based on what airport you fly out of.
For an example. When I flew TW720 STL
twice a year, I always found the food catering from STL
to be ok at best.
But flying the return TW721 LGW
, the catering for the flight was always above average, and seemingly fresher food.
Food out of LAX
is also ok at best.
When I flew QF
, and NZ
down under, the LAX
catering was ok. But on the way back, the food was great.
So does bad airline food come from specific airports catering companies? I don't know, but from my time in the air, I would tend say yes.

Cookies are the Gateway pastry. They lead to Éclairs and Bear Claws.
