British Airways Pulling Out Of SJU

Wed Jan 26, 2000 5:27 am

Hi, I flew the SJU-LGW route last december. Horrible!!! The plane was one of the 3 converted to a 10 abreast seating. Well, the PR turism dep is going to London this week to talk to representatives of BA and Virgin, to see if the first one kkeps the route, and the second one starts it. They will also go to Madrid to talk to the Iberia people, so that they start more routes from Puerto Rico.

The European market has had a lot of acceptance in PR, and the planes are flying at full capacity (all of them), but the only airlines that fly to PR are Iberia SJU-MAd, Condor SJU-Frankford and BA to LGW.

Any comment?
