Hmmmm... - This user has a valid email address and even a homepage, so unless this is a very elaborate hoax, 'Lecrack' is probably not the user we all so love to hate. But you never know!
Authority - Everybody is entitled to have whatever screenname they want. If you check out her homepage, I think you'll see why she chose that name!
And yes, and the way she spells might be off, but remember, alot of non-english speaking people frequent this forum. Their 'english' is pidgin at best!
Lecrack - To answer your question, the safest place to sit is in a seat above the wing. And yes, people have survived crashes. Most crashes happen either on takeoff or landing. Remember the United Airlines DC-10 that crashed in Sioux City a few years ago? More people survived that crash than died!
Most people who die in 'survivable' crashes die of smoke inhalation or fire. If you want to increase your chances, there are some companies that sell a 'smoke hood' that you put over your head in case of an emergency. It gives you about five minutes worth of oxygen (I think) and protects you eyes on alungs from the smoke and carbon monoxide. They go for $50-$100. And don't wear flammable clothing!
