Why is Boeing canceling the 757? Lots of airlines have them. Its an awesome plane to fly. Has good capacity, good fuel efficiency and good popularity. So why?

Answer is simple: Airlines aren't ordering them.

Do a search on the 757, you'll find 10s of topics....

Short version:

-Lot's of them built, they're very durable, and there is a ton sitting out in the desert waiting for someone to use them for cheap money.
-The 737NG carry nearly as many people and cost less to operate.

No orders for Boeing, so no more to build.

They're not cancelling it. They're just stopping production.
