Charter Scene At LTN This Summer.

Sat Mar 06, 2004 9:03 pm

Does anyone know what the charter scene has in store for LTN this year?

What airlines are basing aircraft at the airport this year, how many and what kind?

Last year I noticed Britannia based a 767-200 and Monarch was using on some routes an A300 on some routes.

Are there any widebodies based at LTN this year?

Over the last few years the charter market has been shrinking dramatically at LTN, is this going to continue this year and why is this?

Is there any chance that charter airlines will fly to Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Taba, Luxor, Aswan, etc) this summer. There were some flights to Taba over the winter period.

If the month of April is included in the summer season, there will be two flights a week to Monastir,on Wednesday with Britannia/Thomson UK,and on Sunday with First Choice.
