the New York City-Atlanta nonstop market is 100% controlled by Delta and Continental (CO from EWR, a totally different market than JFK)
No, AirTran also has a sizeable LGA
crowd, and has a few dailies to EWR
But if JetBlue were to start JFK
, I think they'd be successful. OAK
aren't as familiar with JetBlue as NYC is. I believe that JetBlue could run 2x JFK
successfully and perhaps even more.
But it probably won't be ATL
I started narrowing things down. ORD
is not it because the CEO said that it would be served with the 190's. It's not MDW
- they want ORD
. I wouldn't think it's DFW
either because I've heard that it's on their list, but not yet at the top.
There's a really good chance for Flint, MI
; Houston, TX
; or even perhaps Toronto, ON
Hey, I wouldn't even be surprised if a JFK
-Vancouver flight were announced. Vancouver has a very dense population, and it could use non-stop LCC service to NYC. And think about it - "important" people are going to be there, so it would make sense that an international destination would be presented. And we all know that JetBlue likes transcons, and this is about as transcon as you can get...
By 10:00am tomorrow, we'll all know. Too bad the only ROC
flight that isn't sold out tomorrow is at 7:10pm...if the 6:15am flight had a seat open, I probably would have gone to see it myself!
