Quiz - Airline Logos

Mon Mar 08, 2004 5:20 pm

We can all spot them, but can you do it 'blind' without a picture?

All of these are sported on Tail-fins. Name the airline:

1. Blue and Red stylised paper kite....
2. "Fried Egg"....
3. Stylised Phoenix....
4. Compass...
5. Arabian Oryx....
5. Traditional sheathed dagger....
6. Eskimo....

Might sound really stupid, but is #6 A Delta? I mean, on the old widget livery, it's a bunch of triangles..points..spears on a tail. Maybe it's my imagination? Probably so at 0400 local  Big grin.

Anxious to find out.

Hailstone: Correct! Lufthansa it is, and the correct german translation of 'fried egg' too. Add one bonus point.

Someone wanted a clue: The compass has a red and white flag on it.

lol, never heared that they call the sun in lufthansa logo a fried egg.
When LH changed it's color scheme years ago from boring window-stripe colors to the colors they now have, they made a test on a 737. They called it flying fried egg (fliegendes Spiegelei).

"Filling hovercraft with eels". One man in Niue gets the anorack.

How do you get to Niue? My guess:

Auckland - Papette - Niue (767-737).
or:
Guam - Palau - Niue. (737-737).
