My heart goes out to WN
. Personally I think this show does the industry a
disservice. This industry as a whole already has a stigma that the airlines and their employees are plotting against the traveling public or at least that's the way main stream media seems to make it look. That could not be farther from the truth. Granted some employees are simply...Idiots, and have no business being in public contact positions. It's bound to happen when you employ 40,000 + people. But this show always wants to sensationalize what happens at WN
. Granted for ratings that's what sells, but it's truly slanted toward the negative side of the business. Being in the industry 20 years now, having held numerous positions within an airline, I know a fair amount about the complexity of running a major carrier with all the behind the scene decisions that are made daily. Most of the employees are dedicated true professionals. Just seems to me that a show that approached it from that angle showing scenes from a reservations center, to the flight kitchen, to the cockpit, or the System Operations Center would be as entertaining and intriguing and would help educate the public more as to why some things happen the way they do.
Maybe this shows does that, honestly I have only watch 3 episodes, but the ones I saw were geared towards sensationalism & enforcement issues required by WN
