Skyservice Question

Fri Mar 12, 2004 11:56 pm

Could anyone kindly advise what equipment Skyservice are using on the Alba/Sunquest charters wed to wed from YYZ to PMV (Porlamar, Margarita Isl, Vzla)?

Specifically I have a large group of friends travelling on 17 March returning 24 March. I assume it is a 319/320 but would appreciate confirmation. Many thanks and kind regards,

Count on an A320.... the A319's are conquest aircraft!

YYZ only operates baby busses from YYZ!

For sure an A-320...What else? Your large group of friends will be offered a cardboard box containing a shitty ham & cheese sandwich. Gross! Inflight service sucks on SkyService.

Hey there,
yes it will be a 320 with sunquest tours. A-319's are only operated by Conquest.
Now in regards to our service being shitty!! Fly Transat, Same thing. Sunwings. same thing. It is cheaper and yes I agree the sandwich is pretty nasty, But on a long haul flight like that I am sure they serve a hot meal. not that the hot meals that airlines serve are better. lol If our service is so shitty how are we voted the number one charter in the industry?
Hope you enjoy the flight Cayman. have a great trip.

LOL Aviationman, that's what you get when you fly Inclusive Tour airlines. I'd rather pay a nice and low fare and get a nasty sandwich than pay a fair chunk more for a nasty sandwich that comes with a cheesy dessert.

Royal, however, always had nice service, undoubtebly their F/A's were trained to higher standards than most of their competitors when it came to serving a customer, QN ALWAYS respresented good service in my eyes, as I've heard Wardair once did as well.

Never flown Skyservice however so I can't really make a comparison.

Forget about hot meals. Every single charter carrier is offering the same. A cardboard box with shitty sandwich inside. I never said TS or SunWings are better. They all offer the same.

Have a look at TS website. Do a search on TS YMX-ATH in July......$1499.00. That's a lot. And what do you get?........The cardboard box. And if you want more..........Pay for it! They have extra food available for some more $'s.

I have to agree that QN sparked my attention with theiir service...but it all fell apart when Captaingomes got hired...hmmmm no comment!! LOL joking buddy!!

As far as food.... on our flight to YVR January 24th in J class Kaz and I had a great breakfast.... you get what you pay for i guess!! he he he

Hey Grant,
Nuno got hired shortly before Leblanc rid himself of QN and sold them to C3, could it be that the failure of Royal was tied directly to the hiring of our Captain? Perhaps he wasn't upholding the high standards of service QN was known for? I think you're on to something Grant!

The hiring of the Captain and the unravelling of QN came awfully close to each other, coincidence? hmmmmmmm.... Big grin

There are something like 15 319/320's based in YYZ, plus 1 752 that visits periodically. Overwhelmingly the odds are 320.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Hey there,
I agree with yyz 717 but the length of that flight may warrent a 757. The 320 will be flying into there on fumes. I know that there is now a 757 flying out of toronto only. and will be staying on for the year round. Also the 330 this summer will be C-FRAV. C-FBUS is heading back to the lessor. THANK GOD. Just hope that RAV is more Flight Attendant friendly than BUS was. But again no center bins!!! Who in their right mind orders a widebody jet without center bins???? Wish it were RAE back in the fleet!!

I agree. Enough to make me never fly an SSV 333. I once flew a Royal L10 with no centre bins. What a pain.

YYZ - PMV

Right now, the flight is scheduled on A320 C-FZAZ, the newest machine in the A320 fleet. It's the only one sporting the new Mytravel colours.

Have fun!

B.T.W. for Airman99o

The flight hardly ever arrives on fumes. There's usually plenty left to get you to the gate!

Sheesh, what a stupid statament!

Hi Grant and others here,

Could any of you who phograph or work at the airport let me know if and when Skyservice sends in their A320 in full livery to ft Lauderdale (blue tail that goes down to the fuselage).

Only thing i ever see are the Conquest tails. I also have a shot of the eurowhite with regular tail. Need the full colors. I would appreciate any info

I can send you a picture.... ha ha ha....sorry.... but as Flug said...no chance.

To my surprise that SSV 757, i think C-GOOG was at the satalite terminal this morning at around 5am....so it looks like there is a YYZ based crew to fly that aircraft....cool.... long live the single isle heavy....

I have talked to a few people who have flown Skyservice. They have basically said if you want to be sitting in a plane with your knees with no room and crammed with too many people go ahead.

Well, I'm 6-2, 195#...and I was comfortable on my last Skyservice flight to BGI. The few people you were talking to must have been giants then.

Yes, several times Marcel. Several YYZ-YUL/YOW day trips on business. They were fine.  Smile

Several day trips to YUL? Neil, please, give us your impression about YUL. Tell us about gates 39, 40 and 41.....The LCC gates. I am sure we are sharing the same opinions.
