PanAm would have kept the A300s, A310s, and would have eventually opt. for some A320's, and A340's in the early 90s, and A330s come the Mid 90s. I'm not sure what routes they would have had if they were still around, considering soo much was gobbled up by other carriers. I would have expected them to keep a dominant role at JFK
, and smaller hubs at Miami, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Eastern would have 757s, 737s (most likely the 300's and 500's as it has been rumored that they would have opt. for some) 717's and for the L-1011 replacements the 764's. I would have expected Eastern to Keep Atlanta, which would have ruined the chances of AirTran to come about. Newark would have been interesting because of Continental's strong existance there. So my guess at EWR
is that Eastern would have come into Terminal C. At miami, Eastern would have bellied-up there cuz AA
came in in 1989, and was strong. Eastern could have been severely weakened there, or have come out strong.
Its hard to predict this stuff.
