PHL is not a new and different market for them. I also don't think that US goin belly up would help UA
international service. No on the contrary currently Star customers who want to connect to the East coast have to travel through FRA
to connect to US which is currently the only partner US has overseas. Or they would have to connect through ORD
and come back to the east coast.
Once US is a Star partner BMI
would bring in feed to US from MAN
. But still no feed from the largest Hub in the world. UA
could fill that gap. would benefit from Euro traffic from LHR MAN
as well as MAD
. Summertime could get awfully busy in PHL
A little less Hooah, and a little more Dooah.
