'Major' Airline To Start Base At EMA

Tue Mar 16, 2004 6:35 pm

Hi, the local news here in the East Midlands is reporting a 'major' airline will announce a base at EMA today. No word on the airline, but we'll find out later today.  Big thumbs up

Good to see a new airline finally starting at EMA!

Seems as though Ryanair are announcing some route news today - note on their "Route News" section there is a blank line with a link against today's date - doesn't go anywhere at the moment but probably will after 11am!!

This is really bad news for BmiBaby - their life support system is now coming under increased pressure that before.

I was just visting BmiBaby's webpage. And I think they will have an advantage because they fly to "real" airports. And FR doesn't.
And I even tried to make a reservation, and I dind't think they were that expensive.
But I have never heard of BmiBaby before. So I must say it looks like they have a good product from what I saw.

As a matter of fact this thread started first. So write that on the other thread.

Why don't you try not being so hasty with your comments?

My posting was not saying who is first, last, A v B, but generously made to give you the benefit of more information on the subject. You never know you may learn a lot more by sharing information!

Im not hasty. Im just telling you to write that in the other thread because this started first. And I thought you were one of those that absolutly has to point out that there already is one of the same threads. And I thought that, because you didn't write anything else except for the link.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I'm looking forward to flying on a 737-800 for a change. Those aircraft of BMI Baby are getting a bit boring. Us regular spotters should be busy up at NEMA.

Wonder if they plan to upgrade their aircraft in the near future?

Thanks for your kind observations! It's a pity you don't know me better! In my mature years, everything I do is for the benefit of others. In fact that's the way it's been for years. Anybody who's ever worked in my teams over the years will tell you that all my actions speak louder than words. We've worked wonders in the past, often taking many, sometime rather hairy, short cuts, but getting to the ultimate objective sooner rather than later. I've always led from the front, and I don't like wasting words! However, for those who don't know me, in future I shall endeavour to explain some of my spontaneous and generous 'one-liner' postings! At least I can write a decent sentence with a definite element of good English grammar! For those who don't like my style - Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense! If you've got a British passport, you'll see that on the front cover!
