Update FRA Bumpy Runways?

Fri Mar 19, 2004 7:54 pm

>Does anyone knows what the status is of fixing the runways in FRA?
As far as I understand this wil take until 2005.

Every time I fly through FRA, it seems some runways are getting slightly better.

They are working every night on one of the parallel runways. It will take a while as they can renew only a small portion between 10 PM and 4 AM.

Umm, I was under the impression that FRA had plans to build a 4th runway which will be built parallel to runway 18? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

sorry to correct you but the plan is to build the new runway parallel to 25R and 25L. It will be 1400 meters north of the current northern runway. The length will be 2.800 meters (approx. 9.000 feet).

Details on It's either in German or English, but the German site has a map.
