As for EK
, I have been hearing that for years as well as Qatar and Air India. I treat all rumours concerning new services with a grain of salt until I see some official word from the carrier themselves, flights listed in a CRS, ect......Even then I remain a little skeptical. I am not fully convinced until I see their birds parked at one of IAH
's 5 terminals. I have seen major announcements from Iberia, Varig, Swissair, Singapore Cargo, Carnival, Caribbean Airways, Hawaiian Pacific, Trans Atlantic (the last 3 were paper carriers that never really got off the ground) , all promised IAH
service none ever materlized.
So, while I am excited about the recent announcements, again I won't be 100% convinced until I see CI
's planes either flying overhead or parked at 'D' and the cargo ramp.
