The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. Can anyone else name a plane that can CRUISE at Mach 3 at near space altitudes routinely unassited? It is beautiful and was WAY ahead of its time.

Michael

EDIT: Added the word "unassisted" to be more clear.

Now come on boys....the space shuttle flies out of this world. The post clearly says in the whole world.  Big grin

Uhh...I'll say the C-172 just for kicks. It's the plane I fly proudly and I'd stand by it any day.

Sorry to all the adults on this site, that I as a teenager brought an immature post, made originally by another teenager, back up. You should move it to an entirely different immature and lame forum so you can have a refined and respectable conversation with your colleagues who know much more about aviation in this forum. Caesar.......we who are immature salute you!  Big grin

I'd rather be flying (real original)

The DC-3. 10,000 plus assembled & still some 400 airworthy examples almost 70 YEARS after its first flight in 1935. Now that's quality for ya.  Wink/being sarcastic Regards.
