Nice Colombian Aviation Future?

Sat Mar 27, 2004 4:14 am

According to this article (Spanish) from eltiempo.com... next Monday Colombian Aerocivil will define some future routes of 3 airliners while Avianca is claiming for another time of period to stay in chapter 9/11.

Aerolineas Argentinas will know if they can fly 4 times a week to BOG starting next may. Alitalia and Lufthansa are considering to fly again to Colombia from Rome and Frankfurt.

Also the possible new Colombian airlines Estelar, Universal and Fenix will be discussed by the Colombian Aerocivil next Monday

Hopefully we will know more about Colombian aviation next week

Well, I just hope the Colombian government wil pull out something that could help save Avianca. It would be very sad to see AV dissapearing, since it can be considered, undoubtedly, one of the pilars of commercial aviation in the world.

Why should Avianca be kept alive if the are not able to save themselves???
Let´s see how it works out with the new investor for how long!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the colombian goverment should not be involved in this. If the time is over for a company it´s over.

Look at PA,EA and other big ones. The time was over for them. A tragic loss
but that´s business.

If Companies make big mistakes in the past that´s the price they have to pay.
The only bad part are there employees.

If Avianca will be gone one day, a new company is waiting to cover up.

As long you have people traveling then there is a market.

Just my mind!!!!!!!!!!!
