You should get almost identical IFE service ATL
on a 767-400.
That plane is pretty amazing, when you compare it to the 763 and 762, definite evolution at work.
The curvy ceiling tiles and bins make for noticeably larger interior spaces (people near the windows can actually stand UP
and not hit the overheads).
They've also definitely done some improvements on the plane's electricals too. On many of the older planes (various makes/models) you'll notice a brief power interruption as they switch over to internal power. This has, on a couple of trips I've been on, actually caused the VHS machines to stop playing the safety tape !.
Not so on the 764 -- it doesn't even hiccup, and the LCD
panels are crisp and clear.
Everyone gets the cool controllers in the armrests for controlling the IFE stuff, but only the First Class folk actually get the personal screens too.
It's a great plane, and you should enjoy your trip !
: If you're flying coach, try for a seat in rows 10-14. It's a small section of coach seating directly behind first class, and *forward* of the loading door. Because the galley separates you from the rest of the plane, it's usually QUIET !
