The only airport who's runways are clearly visable are Floyd Bennetts field, but that field is for the most part inactive save the City, Feds and Coast Guard helos.

I know where JFK, EWR are. But you really can't make out their Terminals or runways, just the geographic features. EWR is easy to spot because of the two large inlets for Port Newark which lead right up to EWR's bondary, LGA is easy to spot too.

The airports which should be in the picture byt are impossible to make out are..

Teterboro, Linden, North Caldwell.

Also the Tappan Zee bridge should be right about where the picture cust off on the top.

Nice shot...I was able to see Teterboro, EWR, JFK, and LGA (unfortunately, ISP, HPN, SWF, etc. are all off the map).

Hence the purpose of the link... even though I found the major ports easily viewable myself.

The reasons why Flyod Bennets and "parts" of LGA's runways are visable is because they are concrete, the others are asphalt.

I guess the asphalt does not reflect the sun like concrete, the Military should take note of that if they already haven't.
