Maersk Air Begins Flights To Cairo, Egypt In May

Maersk Air will re-launch flights between Copenhagen and Cairo on the 7th of May after they were suspended following 9/11. The flights will be on a weekly basis, but are expected to go to 2/3x weekly at the start of the winter timetable in October. They will use the 737NG

DM121 CPH-CAI Departs: 21:00, Arrives: 02:20
DM122 CAI-CPH Departs: 10:30, Arrives: 14:00

What is the reason for the long lay-over at CAI before returning to Denmark?
Also can someone shed light on their charter operations to Egypt?
