Nasa Super Guppy Jet?

Thu Apr 01, 2004 1:43 am

I was reading an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer this morning about a V-22 Osprey fuselage that was being flown from PHL to Texas yesterday. If I'm not mistaken the Super Guppy is a turboprop, correct? Did they mean the Belgua? I didn't think NASA had any, only Airbus? Any insight?

Also, did anyone get pics of whichever aircraft it was?

Thanks,
Jeff

I think the Guppys are retired, one in France? Airbus owns 4 Belugas and rent
them out when they´re not using themselves. I think the AN-124 is the more
likely to be used?

NASA has a Guppy based in Houston, TX at Ellington Field, where NASA has T-38s, WB-57s, CHallengers, and the 135 Vomit comit.
