Kids Fly Free On Ryanair!

Thu Apr 01, 2004 5:02 pm

Heard about this on TV earlier - they've put this in a national paper with that photo of the kid at the cockpit window  Smile

http://www.ryanair.com/press/2004/apr/gen-en-010404.html

Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 low fares airline, today (1 April) announced their decision to put kids first with a fantastic “kids fly free offer” available on www.ryanair.com

The two pioneering kids Owen Lee and Joe King who convinced Ryanair to do this amazing offer, said:

“Ryanair is No. 1 for low fares, No.1 for routes, No.1 for punctuality, No.1 for customer service and now is No.1 for Kids! As kids ourselves we understand that flying may be boring for parents, but with Ryanair’s exciting new initiative, we promise that flying like this will be fun. We urge all kids to book quickly on www.ryanair.com as we expect to be “blown away” by the demand for this offer and space on the nose of each aircraft is limited to a first come, first served basis”

*Offer available 1 April only – booking terms and conditions on www.ryanair.com

The "No.1 for Customer service" bit gives it away. April Fool.  Nuts

Wasn't that picture on a.net a few weeks ago?

Hope FR have rewarded the 'photographer'...

You would not see BA doing a number of things, as it's still somewhat 'conservative' and not really innovative. Nevertheless, the airline is continually improving. In contrast, FR’s façade is one of brashness, innovation – it wants to do things differently and it wants to be in the front seat. It's also seemingly not bothered about whether it’s seen as being radical, vastly different or whatever.

The Kids names give it away!
You are 100 times more likely to catch a cold on a flight than an average person!

Umm they are not really innovative! Give me a few examples, then, and do not refer to seats and seat types.

After the Gulf War, the Real one! British Airways were extremely innovative in as much that on 23 April that year, EVERYBODY flying on BA went FREE - including all the Concorde Flights.

It was BA's innovation to enlighten people that the world was now a better place, and it was safe to travel - even for those diehard people from over the other side of the pond!

Can't think of any thing more recent, C?  Wink/being sarcastic Free flights to all, even on Concorde? No wonder BA is in such a financial mess, though thankfully it is continually improving.

Thanks, Pe@rson, I was relating to the thread of FREE flights!

Ryanair giving anything away for free is a joke. Not even a funny one.
My problem is, WE ALL KNOW THIS. So why a thread? My best to Lee and King, Jaspike. You take care of them....
