Saw A Wild Flyby At Lunch Today (Southeast Of IAD)

Wed Apr 07, 2004 2:54 am

A formation comprised of:

1. Narrowbody commercial aircraft (A320 or B737) with winglets.
2. Mid- to large- business jet.
3. Fighter jet.
4. Fighter jet.

They flew in a single wing formation, narrowbody in the lead, fairly low. It looked like an airshow formation. Any ideas what this might have been?

My best guess is that they were all all EADS-related aircraft.

It was a photo shoot for the DC Air National Guard. It was one of their C-40's, one of their C-38's and an F-16.
