MUC Receives A380 Cert. As 1st Euro Airport,+9%pax

Wed Apr 07, 2004 10:39 pm

MUC is the first European airport to receive operation certification for the new A380 airliner. It meets all the demands for a ICAO Type F airport. Also, two gates at T2 are ready to handle the A380s via 3 jetbridges each.

On a side note, passenger traffic in March grew by 9%, and a higher growth than this is expected for the coming months.

Good news to hear! According to Airbus, MUC is a possible airport to see the A380 by 2008/2009!
Which are these gates? Do you have the numbers?
Why is 10 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 9.

The bottom gate on this picture is one of them, if I am not mistaken.

The other one would be the bottom gate here, where the UA 763 is parked:

Aslo I think a number of stations (2 or so) of T1 can handle the A380, as I have done triple-jetbridge boarding on a 744 (one right, two left doors) back in 2000 or 2001 when LH was operating them to LAX and SFO.
