United's Star Alliance C/S

Thu Apr 08, 2004 8:49 am

Just looking through the database pics, I saw a UA 763 painted in star alliance and realized this is the first one I've seen in this c/s. How many and what kind of a/c does United have in this c/s?

It's the Billboard Font and the Euro-white, so it's pretty recent. I think as of now, it just the 767 that has it. I'm not sure if they're planing any more fleet types in that livery. I wouldn't mind seeing a 777 in that livery! Big grin
Cheers!

As far as I know it is just going to be the 767, it would look nice though in the 777.

UA only has one logo jet and it's that 763. If you look at the reg. You'll see that it was in the first Star Alliance c/s too. I flew that jet w/ the old colors back and august and it was in great condition but I do agree that it needed a touch up.

I flew United on April 1st and in their in flight magazine "Hemisphere" they illustrate this c/s on only the 767, They also mentioned how they are trying to change all their aircraft schemes (United, United Express, Ted and Star Alliance) to look somewhat similar in color

Anyone know why they chose the 763? I caught a glimpse of Lufthansa's Star Alliance 763 at PHX a while back, looked really good (same thing, just LH instead of UA).
