Germania , What To Expect?

Thu Apr 08, 2004 8:14 pm

Hi!
Next Thursday I'm flying with Germania from Berlin/Tegel to FRA, and I'd like to know your experiences with this airline.
The ticket was very cheap (88 €) and I saved nearly 100 €, because I was thinking of flying with DL, but the ticket was very expensive (175 €).
anyway, opinions are welcome!
Thank you
Emilio

I´m a little confused now, you considered flying DL (Delta?) from TXL to FRA?

Have you checked the trip reports forum? I remember there were a few reports about GEXX flights.

Big grin that would explain the airfare...connecting in Atlanta or so Big grin

Afaik there's only LH as an alternative, they can be cheaper, but usually not on one-way, so he did the best thing.

First of all, it's 45 minute flight, expect no service at all, (I flew them last year on the same route once, don't know if they changed anything), seat pitch is close to intentional manslaughter, as usual, but even worse than LH, but then it's 45 minutes...the aircraft were clean and well maintained, so I guess it'll be ok!
I know it's only VfB but I like it!

Hola Emilio,

here are two trip reports of Gexx flights, the first one by me:

http://www.airliners.net/discussions/trip_reports/read.main/38622/

http://www.airliners.net/discussions/trip_reports/read.main/38141

I found seating not too comfortable and rather cramped in spite of good legroom. Nice experience to have my first F100 flight though.
Be advised: FRA-TXL routings are often operated by the 737 at short notice.
