Retired Aircraft Parts?

Fri Apr 09, 2004 9:16 am

My father is retiring from Delta this month and I would like to give something unique. Does anyone know where I can buy parts from an old aircraft?

Any ideas????

eBay  Big grin - No joke!

Also: http://www.boneyard2u.com/ and http://www.warbirdrelics.com/.

Once you figure out what specifically you are looking for, I am sure some people could help some more.

Check with Delta, most airlines have surplus parts for sale or you could buy a time expired part for its scrap value.

I have a prop blade from an Electra that I bought for $10, as a "for instance".

I will vouch for boneyard2u.com. You may not see what you want but if you E-mail him, he'll respond shortly with an honest and fair answer. He is also as honest a man as I've ever known, and I do know him rather well. No, it's not me.
