Tallest Airline Pilot

Sat Apr 10, 2004 1:18 pm

I was wondering how tall the tallest airline pilot is. Walking through airports, most seem at least 6'1 and trim. But, are there any 7 footers flying? It would be very difficult if not impossible for someone this tall to train in a C152.

I have got a 6 foot 4 friend who trained in a 152. Needless to say, adjusting his seat meant the farthest back before even getting in the plane. It was a little hard for me to control the yoke because of his legs if his feet weren't on the rudder pedals!
Besides, if you don't fit in a 152, you should still be able to cram yourself in a 172.
