Is This Where United Got There New Colours?

Is this where United got the idea for there new colour scheme?

Apart from the tail they are very similar!

Whoa. That was kinda surreal. Of course, only the bottom is the same. On UAL, the engines are all blue. So really, it's only the concept of a blue to white fade in stripes that is copied.

That picture must have been brought up a hundred times during the course of all the new UA scheme discussions.

Perhaps, UAL decided to take the old United Shuttle scheme and jazzed it up a bit.

Perhaps Pentagram designed a new livery from the ground up, using old, familiar elements of airline schemes yet giving it a modern twist? Big grin
