Future Of YYZ T2

Thu Apr 15, 2004 2:42 am

Now that AC has moved over to T1 new, the vancancies at YYZ T2 has gone way up. I was wondering what airlines will move in to fill the vancancies...

Hey,

I've read Westjet will move into some of the vacant space at T2 now. Can't say I've heard of any other airlines with an interest in T2, maybe some others who know more about the situation can help out.

As Jeremy said, just WJ so far.

Hopefully, the departing T2 space will not be vandalized and sabotaged by outgoing AC employees as has been reported in other Cdn cities when AC moved of a terminal (or part of a terminal) and WJ moved in. Shameful behaviour.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

I don't expect much interest in T2 at all. Much like old T1, T2 will be torn down in a couple of years anyways. Unlike old T1, nobody will really miss T2.
