Flight Crew Business Cards

Thu Apr 15, 2004 7:18 am

I saw a UA Captain last night in OAK on my way thru ATL in the security line, and I've noticed this before, but Captains have business cards with an address, phone #, fax, all that....

How do they access that? Is it during compulsory training at their bases?

Anyone have any ideas?

Most airlines have networked PCs everywhere flight crews check-in, so everytime they report for a flight they can log in and access their accounts, irrespective of whether they're at their homebase or not.

That's true, I have that too, but as a frequent traveller myself, I find that the more I travel, the less I want to connect when I'm gone.
