Flown all the types in an airline's fleet?

Thu Apr 15, 2004 10:37 pm

I don't know if this has been posted before, and if it has I'm sorry. But I was wondering, has anyone flown a full Airlines fleet. Every type of aircraft (i.e On CO it would be 733, 735, 73G, 738,739,752,753,762,764,772), not talking about registrations.

I guess a lot of people have flown every type of aircraft in the fleet of Southwest, Ryanair, Easyjet and other Low Cost Carriers.

I've flown on every type of aircraft that delta and delta connection has. ERJ, CRJ(-100,-200,-700), ATR72, EM2, MD-11 MD-88, MD-90, B727, B737(-200, -300, -800), B757, B767(-200,-300,-400), B777. I was too young to remember whether or not it was an Avro or a BAe...for their Delta Connection.

Well, it's been awhile since I had a clean sweep but in the late 70's Ozark flew FH-227B's, DC-9-10/30's and I flew all three in one trip!
Also flew Aloha and Hawaiian in the 70's when all they flew were 737-200's and DC-9-30's, respectively.

Flew this type only once ATL-DFW in Nov. of '98. Old pre-ValuJet take-over colors. The plane's interior seemed old; the NO SMOKING/FASTEN SEAT BELT signs & lights were old-style word type en lieu of symbols.

My first FL DC9 flight was in Nov. of '98 PHL-ATL; my final FL DC9 flight was in April 2002 on a PHL-PIT flight (last Saturday for that service).
My first 717 flight was in January 2001 on a PHL-ATL route. My most recent 717 flight was on the BOS-PHL route last March.

I've been very impressed with the 717. It's too bad not many other carriers have purchased or leased the type. No doubt, mainline carriers rushing to RJs plus the economic slump of the last 2 1/2 years had something to do with the 717s sluggish sales.

I'll save that for another thread.  Innocent

Going back to People Express, I was on each of their types:

737-100
737-200
727-200
747-200

Haven't had the pleasure of being on anybody's 747-400 or 777 yet (though I came close on the 777 recently - I booked on AA back in February for LAX-MIA on a 777, but they revised the schedule and it became a 763 by the time I took the flight last week).

B737-200 (DL Express and reg)
B737-300 (Shuttle and reg)
B737-800 (Shuttle and reg)

B767-200
B767-300 (both engine types)
B767-300ER
B777-200
MD-88
MD-90
MD-11

All in all, a very nice fleet....I got there too late for the L1011 though  Sad

Fun question...I never thought about that  Smile

When I finally flew a 762 redeye LAX-JFK at Christmas, I guess I completed UA's fleet--A319, A320, B733, B735, B744, B757, B762, B763, B777.

Plus I think I've been on all the other jets they've operated while I've been alive--727, 732, DC-10.

oh, and all of MarkAir's when they were around... 737-200, 737-400

and of course, all of Southwest too... 737-200, 737-300, 737-500, 737-700...  Smile

I've done all of Alaska's. Doesn't take much though. I almost flew all their 737's in one trip but there was an equipment swap.

I probably have all of Southwest but I'm not too sure about the -200.
