I'm guessing code share too most likely operated by UA 815. Departs MSY at 5:40, the closest to the 530 u mentioned

Actually the Sabena we once knew no longer exists. It was replaced by SN Brussels.

From a quick check of our departure FIDS, there are code-shares for Alaska, British Airways, and Iberia leaving shortly.

SN Brussels (code SN) codeshares with AA.........as a matter of fact, their anti-trust immunity was cleared this week. There is likely a SN code on the MSY-ORD flight operated by AA, and then the SN code appears on the ORD-BRU flight also operated by AA. SN Brussels does not send its own aircraft to the US (unlike Sabena).

Jcs17, can you explain that statement please?

AA has several codeshares through BRU on SN operated flights too...

Sabena 690,

He means that the codeshare on this flight is the closest MSY in general will get to having a real flight from Europe...and I have to say I agree with him...

It might come sooner than we expect. His beloved Islanders are getting blown out in the first round of the NHL playoffs.

Maybe not in the short term, but there are some existing possibilities out there, and our people never stop putting bugs in various airline ears.

Yeah, by then I would probably be able to live the average lifespan of an Icelandic woman.

No, I won't kill myself over the Isles losing in the first-round, I'll just be angry and standoffish for the next month or so. By the way, Tommy, who did the Kings play in the playoffs?  Big grin

Sabena used to codeshare with Delta back in the mid 90's. You could fly Sabena BRU to ATL (either a Sabena A/C or a Delta A/C) and connect on a Delta flight to MSY under a SN flight number. Of course you would not get to fly on an Sabena A/C ATL-MSY, it had to be a Delta A/C but your flight number on your ticket would show SN.

As Dutchjet has pointed out, SN Brussels Airlines codeshares with American. You can fly SN all the way to MSY but all the flights are operated by AA, while on your ticket you have SN flight numbers.

We seem to get more and more diversions as the years go by. Global warming?

By the way, Tommy, who did the Kings play in the playoffs?
Gotta give you that one. But, having lost Allison and Deadmarsh for the entire season, and Palffy and Straka for major portions of it, I was impressed they were in the playoff hunt for as long as they were. Their season-ending swoon was a bit maddening though, all things considered.  Angry

As stated before, codeshare. Oddly enough, I was looking at TXL's webpage(not sure how I got there lol) a few weeks ago and saw an AA flight from BRU on a BAe 146.

That's codesharing in action. I do wonder why they don't put who operates the airplane. Yes, that flight from BRU to TXL has an AA flight number, but it is an SN aircraft and flight. Why don't they add SN with AA?
