National Airlines flew JFK-AMS back in the late 1970s or early 1980s, it was their only transatlantic route out of JFK (NA's other transatlantic routes were out of MIA).......I believe it was a daily service with a DC10-30; I am not sure how long it lasted.

...Finnair

"Scheduled flights to the USA

Finnair's first DC-8 arrived in Helsinki on 8th February, 1969, and twenty days later was in operation in charter traffic. On 15th May, 1969 the Helsinki-New York route via Copenhagen and Amsterdam was inaugurated.

In May 1970, the company entered the computer age with the introduction of the Finnboard check-in system at Helsinki Airport. For the whole of August, part of the cabin was reserved for non-smokers on the London route. Since March 1972, non-smoker sections have been standard practice on all flights".
