I think PVD
is well served in genaral by each airline with a few "minor" lapses in service.
service on AA
(rumored, but not confirmed) 100+ O&D (not to mention the plethora of potential connecting pax) pax already fy the route with a stop somewhere.
The 1 daily M80 DFW
flight on AA
has been full & profitable (from AA
station mgr.) that I'm surprised that a second hasn't been added yet.
2 M80/1 ER4 to CVG
(a 4th frequency in early afternoon to fill an 8 hour gap in service - I'll take another ER4 at least)
's second largest market with over 500,000 O&D pax - has only 4 nonstops on WN
. We lost 2 very well performing/full flights with the demise of DLX and no Song replacement. US threw in a token Sat. only, but we need 2 more daily n/s on WN
or Song or maybe even US.
- Anyone could add 2 daily's on this one...PVD
sees 400+ O&D pax a day most days of the year with no nonstop service. WN
, US, or even SONG are reasonable candidates for this one.
- same as FLL
with about 300+ daily O&D pax - 1 nonstop woud be a huge start.
- similar traffic as FLL
- maybe HP
could start a daily on this route.
- because of PVD
short runway (to be lengthened in 5 years or so), it would have to be done on a 757, so it might be too soon/feasable right now...
