DL Equipment Change Question

Wed Apr 21, 2004 2:50 pm

I am flying PDX-DFW-MSY and return in June and recently noticed my flgith number changed. After further inquiry, I also noted slightly altered arrival and departure times as well as an aircraft change. DL swapped a 737-800 for an MD-90 PDX-DFW. What is the reason for this? The reason I am asking, is I had specifically booked seat 18A-exit row, yet now I am am stuck 12A on the MD-90 and the flgiht is now full. I know the aircraft have similar capacity, so what was the point?

I know this is kind of an oddball question but any light that can be shed on this would eb appreciated

Sounds like a routine schedule change to me. Airlines usually tweak their schedules every about 3 months or so. Equipment and flight times get changed a bit.

You might want to check the status of those PDX-DFW flights again in June, because I believe that is when DL will terminate nonstop service on this route.

DL service out of PDX and SEA is aircraft and hub roulette lately. No more widebodies, hardly any flights at all, actually. Depressing if you ask me...

Anyone know if PDX still will get the lone 767 from CVG?

According to flgith scedeules, PDX will still get the lone 767 to and from CVG as well as one to ATL. I hope they don't terminate nonstop service on the PDX-DFW route in June, if there is another schedeule change, that will really irk me.

I'm depreessed as to the recent equipment downgardes as well, we used to get so many widebodies out of PDX and SEA and they seem to keep disappearing. Oh well, at least we get the new PDX-NRT NW flgiht!
