The "problem" of who operates the 320 is one of the former SR
pilots. They have blocked the way to the flight deck of the 320 fleet for the former LX
pilots through all sorts of meanspirited tactics. But the ex-LX pilots are not without some responsibility here either. The bad reputation of the LX
pilots is not totally without merit, though the vast majority of them are professionals who were dragged down by a few bad apples.
The solution, as I see it, is to train the pilots at the standard of the former SR
and if the pilots are at that level let them fly!
But they will not do this. They try all sorts of "screenings" and "assessments" and "quasi-selections to keep the LX
pilots and the SR
pilots from mixing.
Very childish and unprofessional. It is childish and unprofessional of the former SR
pilots to try to block the careers of the former LX
pilots and it is childish of the former LX
pilots to complain about the high standard of training of the 320 crews.
Just my $.02 folks. I wish this stupid, childish conflict would be resolved!
