ZRH News

Thu Apr 22, 2004 9:58 am

My "go around" topic:

First Zurich winter news:

-SAS adds a 2nd daily flight to Oslo with 738
-British Airways starts 2 x daily 734 LGW services
-City Airlines 6x weekly to GOT with Emb 135/145

Some more Zurich news already available?
Thanks

City Airline to GOT will in fact start on 20 September and not with the change to wintertimetables. Since Swiss left the route a year or so ago no one has filled this market. If CF can reach some kind of agreement with LX to feed pax to their network I think this route can become successful.
I also expect to CF to announce one or two more routes from GOT during the spring or summer to make full use of the fourth a/c they most likely need for the ZRH route.

OMG, VIE-ZRH has way enough carriers now, but Austrian and Swiss may go down with the prices then....

Niki and Helvetic are less expensive for sure. Will Niki fly with A320 or A321?

I also heard that UA will come back to ZRH... any further info?

Thanks for the update, 717fan. A direct flight to Gatwick? Great, but it's a bit too late now, I would have used that flight last Thursday... That would have saved my day then!!  Big grin

It's good to hear that we get some more airlines. But I think there will be way too much capacity to VIE then.

At least you can book it! I wonder how long that will last. Gexx had also operated on VIE-ZRH and pulled out, and I learned that loads on helvetic are poor.

Florian: UA will restart IAD-ZRH flights as per mid June (I think June 11th).

So, finally a new widebody to "hunt" ... I mean with camera, of course  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
