"DLX, you were saying that the Airbus ranges were biased. I don't know if thats true or not so I'll just trust you. "
What!!! Don't just trust me!
I'm just another Joe Thinks-he-knows-it-all on the internet. Well, in this case, trust me. More on that later.
"But, you are also using the Boeing published ranges to show how far the 739 will go. Aren't those also biased to sell planes like Airbus?"
Yes, I am. Those ranges have been proven to be accurate by the operators on the 737NG, and all other Boeing products. The issue with Airbus is that operators have not been able to get the promised range out of the 320 and 321. That is a big issue! (Probably the number one reason why AA and DL are dumping their MD11s.) So, don't trust me, trust what the operators are saying, and see why Airbus couldn't sell a 321 in America until they fixed its range problem. (BTW, as long as it has 32x wings, it will never have 757 range.)
About comfort? I've never been on the 737NG, but I have the 32x. Doesn't seem much different than the 737s, just newer.
