Someone had told me Braniff, but I thought that they might have been joking. Could not find any pictures on A.net.

It was Braniff that used it from DFW. It was operated by Air France.

SQ did have a SQ painted aircraft on one side and I think AF on the other side, for a short while.

I know QF had placed an order for 4 aircraft in 1964, but cancelled when specification were not guaranteed.

It was Braniff that used it from DFW. It was operated by Air France.

The aircraft were stickered with USA registrations and operated by Braniff command with Euro crew present in the flight deck.

AF, BA, and BN are the only three airlines to ever operate Concorde service. SQ had a joint marketing venture with BA, but BA controlled all aircraft operations.

In 1979/80, both BA and AF extended their 3 x weekly IAD route to DFW, temp US registrations had to be displayed for this, being overland max speed was Mach 0.95, a time saving but not an efficient way to use the aircraft.
Braniff flight crews operated the IAD-DFW leg.

In 1988, BA again extended the IAD route to DFW, this time US reg's were not needed.

Neither were they needed when between 1984-1991, BA extended the IAD service to MIA, this was a supersonic route however.

Some info in the BA/SQ flights, between BAH-SIN SQ flight numbers were used, BA flight crews, 50% of the cabin were SQ;

Aussie747,

I think it was BA on one side and SQ on the other side.

I did not think that it was possible to make Concorde look bad, but Pepsi sure did it!

Concorde Boy is correct about Braniff International Airways using their own crews to fly it from IAD to DFW. I worked for Braniff Part 2 (87 88 89) and have flown with flight attendants who worked it.
