Fokker Bankruptcy

Sat Apr 24, 2004 4:38 pm

This is from the Amsterdam television website, AT5. It is surprising how long something like this takes! Still, it brings sadness to the heart -- it's like it happened yesterday.
Rough translation:

Fokker bankruptcy finalized

After eight years the bankruptcy of aeroplane manufacturer Fokker has been rounded off. The court in Amsterdam approved the settlement proposed by the curators.

The "ordinary" creditors of Fokker such as suppliers of nuts, bolts, screws and services, will be compensated in full. Shareholders will receive 37% of what they invested in the company.

Did the chicken or the egg get laid first?
