Delta 1605 767-200 Diverted To BNA

Tue Apr 27, 2004 10:05 am

A friend of mine was telling me that he saw a Delta 767 in Nashville this morning. I didn't think Delta flew that equipment in that market.

I was looking around on the Delta website and I noticed that flight 1605 ATL-DEN (a 767) was diverted to Nashville. The Flight left ATL at 9:03 and arrived BNA at 9:39. It remained at Nashville until 10:51, and arrived DEN at 12:40 (original arrival time was 10:14)

Anybody in Nashville have a clue as to what may have happened?

I'm not from Nashville, but it could have been 1 of 2 things.
1. A medical emergency
2. a mechanical emergency.

I would check with DL employees for the actual answer.

Flight history says it was a medical emergency.

COAB767 ,

Why don't you add "suspicious passenger surfing Airliners.net" to your list of possible causes??  Big thumbs up

Better question: is it me, or do a lot of Anet users have nothing better to do than figure out why one freaking aircraft diverted?

Sheesh.

And an A.netter with over 11,000 posts is stating this as extreme?!  Laugh out loud

Whatever, DIA. I don't go around wondering about the stray flight that diverts. It strikes me is extremely hilarious every time I see a post like this. WHAT DO YOU CARE IF A PLANE DIVERTS? Unless you or someone you know is on it, who gives a frack? Planes divert EVERY DAY. Do we need to track them?

Alpha, take a Tylenol and give it a rest. He was just asking if anyone knew any details. Take a deep breath and relax will ya?

If you look through this forum, you'll see that this is not the first time something like this has happened. Do you bash everyone that asks this?

Sheesh.

I know, I know. . .I was just having a little fun with your very high ranking. I actually enjoy reading your posts. No offense intended.

Seeing how this was a Denver flight, I was interested. . .that's all.

Personally, diversions are interesting and some people enjoy knowing why an a/c was diverted.

I'd much rather read about diversions than hear the constant debate on IFE and which airline has the best IFE, and tell me about the IFE, etc...get over it - don't watch the movie; drink instead. (My opinion, but you don't see me interposing it each time someone utters the letters 'IFE.')

Point: Just because you don't enjoy the topic, doesn't mean it should be banned. You didn't have to even post a comment. Be normal and if it's a topic in which you are disinterested, don't read/comment on it.  Smile

Seems like someone has nothing better to do than make three replies to this thread.

Alpha_1,
You are out of line. I am interested in aircraft diversions. One of the reasons for A.net is so that people who are interested in certain things can ask information of people who might be able to supply it.

Don't read it if you don't like it. 11,000 posts! wow, and none was about a diversion? come on...

Thank you for saying it. Some of these people need real concerns rather than looking at flight tracker for anything remotely abnormal.

Most major airlines have around a half dozen diversions, air interrupts, returns to field (Incl their small jet providers) each day for a variety of reasons. Nothing to get overly excited about....

What is wrong with being an airline enthusiast and a genuine interest in things like that? How does that possibly offend anyone? Why attack someone because of a genuine interest?

Well it's a pretty small airport, and seeing bigger equip. like that in there is different. This was an aviation forum, correct?  Wink/being sarcastic

BNA is FAR from a small airport and seeing a 767 is really a none event. Every night we get in MANY widebody cargo aircraft along with our near daily China Air Cargo 747-400. Just last week over a 48 hour period we also saw 3 AN-124's, which actually are common, just not all in 2 days...!! During football season when the teams come and go we'll see many different Charters.
