Which American Carriers Still Fly L1011?

Wed Apr 28, 2004 8:31 am

Hello,
I was wondering a lot about which American Carriers still fly L1011s, it used to be big amongst American carriers, and it's going into extinction, so I was wondering which ones still fly it. I heard TZ still flies them, but I'm unsure, does DL still fly them?

I really don't think anyone has them on scheduled service worldwide... America Trans Air I think only has them on Charters.....at least they're not shown or listed on the ATA website.

For sure the L1011s are primarily for charter work, however they do a few IND-MCO turns during heavy travel periods (mainly spring break and around holidays) if aircraft and crews are available. They do IND-CUN occasionally. They are scheduled on LAX-CUN nonstops this summer. Perhaps someone can remember a few more routes they ply.
