Current Boeing Orders....

Wed Apr 28, 2004 3:25 pm

I was just wondering what current airlines had orders with Boeing. If so what a/c and how many.... I know of the recant order for 50 7e7's and the possible order of around 20 717's but what about their 763's(still being made?) 777, 737, 757 and even 747!

As much as an airbus hater that I am is Airbus offering more to their buyers?

Boeing:
717
737-800-900
BBJ (737)
747-400(ER?)
757(?)
767(?)
777-200/ER-300/ER
7e7-800(?)

Airbus SadI really don't know how the airbus fleet works (-100 or -200 like the Boeing 777-200) but I dont think this applys for the 318-321)
318-100
319-100
320-200
321-200
330-200-300
340-200-300-500-600
380

Sorry if I'm off a bit on the #'s!

Boeing's Orders and Deliveries page makes this easy:

http://active.boeing.com/commercial/orders/displaystandardreport.cfm?optReportType=UnfAnnModel&ViewReportF=View+Report

It may be a few days out of date. The 7E7 is not listed, but the backlog jumped from 0 to 50 about 48 hours ago.

For Airbus you can always visit http://www.airbus.com/media/orders_n_deliveries.asp or, for a bit more detail, http://www.airbus.com/doc/media/ordersndeliveries/orders_n_deliveries.xls - on 31 March 2004 the outstanding orders were:

A300: 61
A310: 5
A318: 70
A319: 353
A320: 406
A321: 114
A330-200: 107
A330-300: 70
A340-2/300: 13
A340-500: 14
A340-600: 55
A380: 129
Total: 1397

This list includes the 5 A310s for Iraqi Airways, an order that is obviously somewhat doubtful at the moment (even more than it has been for the past decade)...

The list of Airbus-planes that you gave was almost complete, except for the A300-600R, A310-2/300, and the A321-100 (which, I think, can still be ordered - but I'm not sure there).

Orders counted here are the ones where a firm contract has been signed and a down-payment has been made.

Regards,
Frank

P.S.: I wish you'd've left out the comment "As much as an airbus hater that I am"... doesn't make it easy to reply in a neutral way...

The 767 could be well into production for a few more years depending on the Armed Forces tanker program. But the passenger version is on it's last legs. QF certainly will not be ordering any more.

Etihad Airways of Abu Dhabi recently announced plan to purchase 50 new aircraft over next 5 years. There is a possibilty that some of these may be B777's.If true can anyone throw any light on the the time scale of the B777 orders?

UA777 - you hate Airbus? What did they "wrong"? Being competitor to Boeing?
I always thought that competitors are good for business - and free economy.
Hmmm, maybe Airbus is too successful for you.
Sorry, UA777, your comment is totally stu***.
