No doubt related to their 'scenic' flight over Nantes a few weeks backs. The plane was only feet from hitting a building.

It must be very difficult for them to not fly in France

Okay, thus at present they're banned in French, Italian, Belgian, Swiss and Dutch airspace. I wonder who's next to ban Luxor Air......

BTW the airline was banned in The Netherlands following a suprise chack by what's called the SAFA (Safety Assessment Foreign Aircraft) team at Luxor's first flight from AMS. Untill the alter a few things they're not wellcome

Are there pictures of this MD-83 on A.net? According to the French, its name is Louxor air, not to be mixed up with Portugal-based Air Luxor

Yes, some clarification would be good, as Air Luxor (based in LIS) operate flights into the UK, and I was getting a bit nervous!

Actually LJ, I think (though I am definitely not sure) that Strasbourg or Brussels recently passed some text forbidding any company banned by a member to fly in the entire EU. Text passed after the Flash Air crash, and that wouldn't have helped back then because Flash Air was banned... in Switzerland.

PU151, the law hasn't yet come into effect. If I'm correct the law will come into effect in a few months (if it has been approved at all)
