Continental And Copa

Thu Apr 29, 2004 2:53 pm

This sounds like a stupid question....

Are Copa and Continental the same company? Look how the livery is so very similar:

CO owns a 49% stake in Copa.

Curious question for CO folks:

What are your nonrev options on Copa? is it some kind of superlow service charge fee? Or just a plain ol' ID75/90 thing...

Thanks...

Copa and Continental are partners; when Continental took a stake in Copa it was a nice occasion to try a new color scheme for Copa too that was extremely outdated:

An to show it's close link with Continental this came out:

But practically the collaboration is limited to:
*Panama to Houston and Newark are code-shared (Continental planes)
*Copa is member of OnePass.
Till here it goes (so far).

Continental's interline agreement with COPA is only a service charge. However, I dont believe there is priority on boarding CO employees versus other airline employees.
